Most exam coaching covers the curriculum at the same depth across all topics. That misses the asymmetry of high-stakes testing: a few topics carry disproportionate weight on the score. Quantitative — Problem Solving sits at roughly 12% of the Graduate Management Admission Test content distribution — Problem Solving (PS) questions make up roughly 60% of GMAT Quantitative. They test math concepts through the level of high-school algebra and geometry, but with GMAT-specific traps: answer choices are often planted to catch common errors, and time management is critical. Why this answer?
3x + 12 = 27 → 3x = 15 → x = 5. The question asks for x + 4 = 9, not x itself. A common trap is selecting 5 (the value of x).

Why this answer?
